Australia retains the ashes

Australia retained the Ashes, as England batting collapsed on the morning of 3rd day of the Boxing Day test at Melbourne, Australia.

Scott Boland six-wicket haul was an ideal start for the debutant in the defence of the ashes. He took six for seven.

Australia won the match by an inning and 14 runs. England 1st inning was 185 (Root 50, Cummins 3-36, Lyon 3-36). Australia 1st inning 267 (Harris 76, Anderson 4-33. England 2nd Inning 68 (Root 28, Boland 6-7).
