“China-Pakistan ironclad friendship is deeply rooted”
BEIJING: “Chinese and Pakistani people is stronger than gold and the two countries’ iron-clad friendship is deeply rooted in the people and boasts strong vitality,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin during his regular press conference. He was talking about a Pakistani student who fell seriously ill and remained hospitalized for over two months at a university in Tianjin. Chinese authorities paid heavy expenses for his medical treatment and sent him back home in coordination with Pakistan Embassy Beijing. Wang Wenbin said that it was another example showing vividly that the bond of friendship and mutual assistance between the Chinese and Pakistani people. He said that since COVID-19 broke out, many foreign students including some from Pakistan have persevered with their studies in China. The Chinese government and their schools care about their safety and health and will continue to provide them with every possible assistance.
