Mahyuddin Saddat appointed as Acting Ambassador to China

KABUL: Taliban-led Afghan Government has assigned Syed Mahyuddin Saddat as First Secretary and Chargé d’Affaires in Afghan Beijing, China.

On Monday, Ex-Afghan Ambassador to China Javed Ahmad Qaim announced his resignation in a note posted on Twitter.

Syed Mahyuddin previously served as a member of Taliban political office in Doha, Qatar.

He comes from a Pashtun family in the eastern province of Nangarhar in Afghanistan. Mr. Saddat studied International Relations from International Islamic University Islamabad.

Taliban have also announced the appointment of Abdul Qayyum Sulemani as Chargé d’Affaires in Tehran. He previously served as dim plate in Afghan Embassy in Tehran and will replaced the ex-Ambassador Abdul Ghafoor Lewal.

Sardar Ahmad Khan Shakeeb was first to take charges as charge d’Affaires in Afghan Embassy in Islamabad in October 2021.
